How to Prepare for Fall Reboot Cleanse
In preparation for Namaste's whole foods REBOOT in mid-October, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Andrea Schaffer will be leading an informative class on how to prepare for a cleanse. In this class she will cover why you might want to do a REBOOT cleanse, what you should consider when choosing a food plan, how to ensure your body is ready to cleanse, and steps to take beforehand to ensure a successful cleanse. We will also release details of what the Namaste Reboot will entail for the week of October 13th. We will also have a tasting of some healthy coffee substitutes (Rasa, Dandelion tea, mushroom coffee) that evening so that those that want to take a break from coffee can experience tasting other options for a warm morning beverage before you take the plunge.

Then this workshop series is for you. The series will focus on specific areas to help you ease your discomfort. Our bodies are intelligent and will adapt around pain or injury, however this compensation can lead to future misalignment and discomfort. Our bodies work in a holistic manner, each part is needed to perform at its best. Often we are overcompensating, misusing and underusing our musculature.Take the time to realign and heal yourself. Move easy like it's Sunday morning and gradually bring balance into the body and mind with gentle flowing movements, deep stretching, and calming breathwork while enjoying LIVE music from local multi-instrumental musician & yogi Sam Ravenna. His offering for this yoga class will be a mix of moody acoustic guitar music along with some soulful renditions of his own original songs and some intentionally selected covers. On Sunday August 11th, enjoy a fun-filled bike and yoga event. Get outside and then learn proper stretching techniques for post-riding. Coral will guide us on a ride from Namaste to pedal on the Legacy Trail. Marybeth will lead a 45minute post-ride yoga session to release muscles from the ride. No experience needed.

Last May I was in Fiji. Serendipity brought me and a 19 years old friend from Kauai together on the island of Taveuni. Kelly has been in Fiji for 12 years and is an expert in scuba, snorkeling and surfing. I'm delighted to get back to the ocean, the lush green jungle, the warm tropical air, fresh fruit and fish, and the friendly and musical culture of the Fijian people.
