Integrative Medicine & Complementary Healing

Integrative Medicine is organized around the underlying philosophy that optimal health and wellness is achieved by being in balance: in body, mind and spirit. We undertake a comprehensive evaluation of your symptoms and your physical findings, and may order appropriate tests to assist with the discovery of imbalance. We look for root causes that are limiting health and wellness, and address those root causes to help the person find better balance. We work gently with approaches that invite the body to access its own inner wisdom for the deepest healing.

On the road to wellness, we integrate approaches that address the whole self. Since no one knows your body better than you, we gather and work with your insights and observations of yourself to develop a plan that will work well for your specific needs and lifestyle. We may recommend any number of approaches to reach optimal health, with a focus on whole body, soul and spirit integration.

 Meet our Practitioner
Elaine Hannah, NP, MSN

Elaine has a diverse background, weaving in and out of the intensity of ICU and ER and into the wilderness as a backcountry ranger with Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. She graduated with a BSN from James Madison University in Virginia and worked in Critical Care, High Risk Labor/Delivery, and Emergency Medicine in her early career. For many years, she balanced working as a Park Ranger/Park Medic in National Parks “Out West,” while working winters “Back East” in specialty critical care.  She graduated from the University of California, San Francisco with MSN and NP degrees and with an additional specialty in Integrated Complementary Healing. While at UCSF, she was also a Fellow in Pulmonary Medicine so she is highly skilled with all things related to breathing! She has been a research assistant in several double blind, clinical studies evaluating the efficacy of Yoga and other alternative mind-body approaches in healthcare.
Elaine has always believed that the human body has an amazing ability to heal itself if given the right kind of support. She uses western and alternative approaches to evaluate and get to the root of symptoms and then develops a plan with her patients to start the healing process. She has a great deal of experience working with patients who have complex issues, like Mold and Mycotoxin Illness, Lyme Disease, Heavy Metal Illness, Chronic Fatigue, and other “syndromes” where western medicine has failed.
She regularly uses Homeopathy, Herbs, Eastern Medicine, Western/Allopathic Medicine, CranioSacral Therapy, Biofeedback, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Elaine is gifted in her ability to work with infants and children, but she loves to work with people of all ages and is especially fond of working with families.
