Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands on modality for all ages that can help release physical and/or emotional trauma and facilitate the body's natural and innate healing process. The craniosacral system is comprised of the membranes and fluids that surround the brain and spinal cord. Using non-invasive and supportive touch and techniques based on osteopathic techniques, restrictions in the Craniosacral system and the body as a whole can be released. This has shown to improve central nervous system function, as well as other systems of the body, including digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, circulatory and more. The process of CST can also produce Somatoemotional releases, a gentle process of releasing tissue memory and helping decrease the adverse effects of past trauma.
Craniosacral therapy has been shown to help with a wide range of challenges and symptoms. some of the main indications include Migraines, headaches, post concussion symptoms, chronic pain, pediatric challenges, emotional difficulties, sleep challenges, TMJ dysfunction, fibromyalgia, Stress, PTSD, chronic fatigue, and more.
